About the Seventh Administration

On 29 May 2024, Mr Cyril Ramaphosa was inaugurated as President of the Republic of South Africa after being re-elected by the National Assembly following the 2024 general elections.

The Seventh Administration is a government of national unity, formed through a shared commitment to serve the people of South Africa and to advance the objectives of the Freedom Charter, the Constitution and the National Development Plan.

Guided by the theme of a people-centred, inclusive and growing economy, the Seventh Administration is focused on tackling poverty, creating jobs, reducing inequality and strengthening the capacity of the state to deliver services to all South Africans.

The President is supported by the Deputy President and a Cabinet of Ministers drawn from parties represented in the Government of National Unity, working together to build a better, safer and more prosperous South Africa.
